Build trust and connection while meeting children and teens where they are.
We will begin with a parent-only session to collaborate on goals and a treatment plan for the minor's therapy process. Therapy sessions then continue with the child/teen. Regular parent check-ins allow for at-home support.
Children and teens typically begin with weekly 50-minute sessions to establish a therapeutic rapport and start working toward their goals

My story
Before becoming a therapist, I spent seventeen years as a Texas classroom teacher. Those years shaped the way I understand children and teens—not just as individuals, but within their families, friendships, schools, and communities. I also learned how valuable it can be when families and professionals work together to understand what is happening beneath the behavior and build practical tools that work in everyday life.
I returned to school to earn my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University because I wanted to help earlier—before a child becomes known as “the difficult one,” before anxiety or self-doubt takes over, before family relationships become more disconnected, or before someone begins to lose hope.
Today, I work with children, teen girls, college-aged and adult women, and families navigating anxiety, ADHD, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, and difficult life transitions. My approach is person-centered, strengths-based, and systemic, which means I want to understand both who you are and the relationships and experiences that have shaped you.
I believe therapy should be a place where you feel genuinely heard, supported, and safe enough to be honest about what is hard. We'll work collaboratively to recognize your strengths, understand patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and develop practical ways to move toward healthier relationships and greater confidence. For clients who desire it, I also offer faith-integrated therapy, thoughtfully incorporating Christian faith and values into the counseling process.
You know yourself and your family best. My role is to come alongside you, help you identify what matters most, and find practical steps toward meaningful change.
